Day 2 - Rain in the Forecast. What about a S@&!?
Shit. I wish. I know TMI. Butt this is our bathroom control tower. All types of different ways to spritz, flush, and even control the seat. Unfortunately, after I fly, there's nothing happening. Nada.
We woke up to a down pour, butt not out of me. No complaints.
Where's Brad?
Julia and Evan fashion their umbrellas. Evan goes monsoon style.
The subway in Tokyo is very easy to follow. Especially in Japanese. FYI.. You need yen to purchase tickets. We learned the hard way. ATM anyone?
This guy really helped us get around. His name is Rob. Short for something. He asked the girls out. I think they are doing coffee and WD40 tomorrow morning.
Brad. You approve?
You don't see many flies in Japan. Mostly because of the woman sitting next to Amy. Unfortunately Max was on the DL today. Nothing serious, feel better Max. And he did find a free link so I could watch the final episode of GOT.
We stopped for lunch in the Akihabara district at a place called Oyakodon. I'm hoping this chicken bowl can get my bowels stirring (fry).
Chicken bowl please help me
Reid found a place for desert...
My kids love Boba. I don't get it. It tastes like shit, disguised as tea. That reminds me... Nothing.
Boba Bitches (meant in a nice, strong women way)
It was raining hard and everyone's shoes were getting soaked. Except for this guy's. The Japanese know how to keep their feet dry.
I see a zipper. WOW.
No zippers. Our feet are soaked
Before dinner we met up with our friends, The Diaz's - Rigo, Kim, Bella, and Dominque. Friendships escalate when meeting up in foreign countries. Great to see Rigo, Kim and the family. They are awesome. Kim and Dom went to Disneyland in the rain. Guest blog?
Off to dinner. Shout out to Riva Cooper for giving us the restaurant recommendation. Sakuratei is a HR.A+. That stands for High Recommendation Alert. An HR.A+ is the opposite of a Spoiler Alert.
There was a long wait, so Reid painted a wall. Who knew?
Wendy wasn't planning on cooking this trip. Reid and Evan weren't planning on reading cooking instructions on this trip. It's like a DIY Beni Hana's. In all fairness, the instructions were in English, but felt like we were reading Japanese.
We needed some cooking help. So we enlisted a local Japanese band that we met at the restaurant called, "Vague". They weren't super clear about what we needed to do differently. They were kind of ambiguous, but really nice, and we enjoyed getting to bond with some locals. The food was really good. Amazing flavors and we all loved it. The band and the overall ambience, made Sakuratei a memorable night. Thanks again Riva Cooper for the HR.A+
