Day 10: Sayonara Kyoto

Good morning.  It's our last day in Kyoto.  Still thinking about our Hiroshima visit.  My Dad already texted me and said Truman did the right thing.  Julia, Evan, what do you think?

They feel that we should always be supporting our President.  Amy also feels the same...

After our family Meet the Press discussion, we decided to all go to breakfast.  A nice American breakfast at Eggs 'N Things.

No set plans today.  Let's see... It's about 11:00am on a Wednesday morning.  Should I go shopping?

Nope.  Should I go rock climbing?

Nope.  Should I go Japanese Whiskey tasting?
Happy Wednesday

Yep.  Brad, Max, and I ventured to find a Whiskey bar in the Kyoto food district.  Not a lot of bars open at 11:00am.  But we got lucky...

Japanese whiskey tastes as good as American scotch.  They just can't call it scotch, because it's made in Japan and not Scotland.  I think that's right.  If not, it sounds good.  The Japanese know how to make things.  Japan is about the same size in square miles as California.  But they have 3 times as many people.  3x the people, but cleaner.  3x the people, but less traffic.  3x the people, but more polite.  Shouldn't it be the other way around?  I love my Cali, but I respect Japan.  The place just makes you smile.
Say チーズ
We are eating our way through Japan.  I guess that is what you do on vacation? You convince yourself that you deserve it.  I deserve a Japanese burger after 6 shots of great whiskey.  Let's go! Burlesque, hair cuts. and hamburgers...  How could we go wrong.  Yelp please.

As we were indulging.  The girls did some shopping.  Amy and Wendy missed their Mom....

Our last night in Kyoto we at a cool restaurant on the water.  It dipped below 70 degrees at night.  Brrrrrrr.......
